Implementing a campuswide electronic current awareness service.
نویسنده
چکیده
In early 1991, a networked current awareness service was implemented by two units of the University of Michigan (UM), the Alfred Taubman Medical Library (TML) and the Office of Health Sciences Information Technology and Networking (ITN). The goal was to expand on the success of UM-MEDLINE, which allows faculty, staff, and students free, unlimited searching of MEDLINE and other databases via PaperChase. The current awareness service builds on the expertise of library staff in the delivery of information services and the technical expertise of ITN's staff.
